CL-10DJ-7 Level Switch for Bulk Solids

Dynatrol® CL-10DJ-7 Level Switch for Bulk Solids

Dynatrol® CL-10DJ-7 Vibrating Level Switch is designed for high-, intermediate- or low-point level detection of bulk solids. The CL-10DJ-7 is typically used with bulk solids in the density range of 60+ lbs/ft3.

Dynatrol® Level Detectors are constructed for a long operating life, require no field adjustments, have no seals or gaskets that will deteriorate and can be modified for special level detection applications such as:
  • Temperatures up to 500°F with the High Temperature Series (CL-10DJT-7 level detector)
  • Temperatures up to 750°F with specialized units
  • Cryogenic temperatures
  • Clean In Place connections
  • Sealed and suspended units for high level detection applications
  • Detection of the interface between liquids and bulk solids materials with the CL-10DJI Series

With the CL-10DJ-7, reliable operation can be achieved in problem applications where other types of controls may fail to operate at all. Let Automation Products, Inc. provide a worry‐free solution for you today!

Principle of Operation

The Dynatrol® DJ Level Detector consists of a rod style probe which is installed through the wall of the bin or duct at the point of desired level detection. When the probe is uncovered the rod is free to vibrate and produce an output signal. This signal operates a relay indicating the rod is uncovered and a low level exists. A dampening of the oscillation occurs when the rod is covered and the resultant loss of signal de‐energizes the relay indicating a high level exists.

The On/Off signal from the Dynatrol® Detector operates a SPDT relay in the EC‐501A Control Unit. The relay’s contacts can be used to actuate alarms, indicator lights or process control equipment.

The EC-501A level switch control unit performs frequency and voltage analysis to make decisions regarding the actual level switch point. This technology has been added to the level control in order to reduce false tripping and make level measurements more dependable. This combination of level sensor design and unique electronics, makes our level switch system both reliable and rugged.
