Rubber

Dynatrol® Bulk Solids Level Detectors provide accurate point level detection for carbon black, rubber granules, pellets or powders. Dynatrol® Density Systems and Viscosity Systems are designed to measure density or viscosity at process conditions of latex, various rubber coatings or chemicals.

Bulk Solids Level Measurement

The CL10-DJ series of level switches are used to measure high-, intermediate-, or low-level detection of bulk solids. Applications for the Rubber Industry may include:

  • Carbon Black
  • Rubber Granules
  • Rubber Pellets
  • Rubber Powder

Viscosity Measurement

The Dynatrol® CL10-DV series Viscosity Probes and Series 3000 Viscosity Digital Converter are used to measure the viscosity of:

  • Adhesive Rubber Coating
  • Latex
  • Conformal Coatings

The Series 3000 digital converter can also process temperature. If the data is available the temperature can be used to either compensate for changes in temperature or correct to a reference temperature.

Density Measurement

The Dynatrol® CL10-HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Density Digital Converter can be used at process conditions to measure density, specific gravity, percent solids, or percent concentration of

Phosphoric Acid

The Dynatrol® CL10-HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Density Digital Converter can be used to measure phosphoric acid.

The phosphoric acid application software is designed to use the temperature and density information that comes from the CL-10HY cell to calculate product baumé, density at a reference temperature, specific gravity and percent concentration. Automation Products Inc. uses the same reference tables that are used by phosphoric acid manufacturers to cross check results generated by our phosphoric acid software.

The CL-10HY and Series 2000 combination have been used to measure phosphoric acid for chemical applications and low concentration acid mixing. It has also been used to measure high concentration phosphoric acid in acid make-up applications.

Dynatrol® Density Cells can be supplied with tantalum media contact parts as well as carpenter 20, stainless steel and other alloys that can be chosen for your specific application.

Nitric Acid

The Dynatrol® CL10-HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Density Digital Converter can measure the temperature and density of a nitric acid process stream.

How it works: The Series 2000 Digital Density Converter processes basic information from the Density Cell to calculate density at a reference temperature. The process value can be used to calculate the specific gravity, Baumé and percent concentration. This information is made available to the operator or process engineer.

The standard Series 2000 has an analog output corresponding to either of these process variables. Optionally, it can be programmed to have two analog outputs that can be calibrated for any two process variables (Density, Temperature, Baumé, Specific Gravity, Percent Concentration).
