Dynatrol® Liquid Level Switches are used in storage tanks or vessels at the point where level detection is needed. Dynatrol® Density Systems are commonly used on fructose and juice applications throughout the industry.
Liquid Level Detection
Dynatrol® CL-10GH Liquid Level Detector can be used in Beverage Industry applications where it is necessary to know the high. mid or low level point of fructose, corn syrup or sugar liquor in a tank or other vessel. The Dynatrol® level probes are inserted into the storage tank or vessel at the point where the reading needs to be taken. When the product reaches the level probe the probe will detect its presence and close a contact. This contact closure can be used to turn on an alarm, a light or can be used as a computer input. The contact arrangement of the Dynatrol® level switch lends itself to use in either high or low level applications.
Density Measurement
The Dynatrol® CL-10HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Digital Density Converter can be used to measure fructose corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose syrup, or dextrose. The Dynatrol® Density System uses temperature and density information from the CL-10HY cell to calculate degrees BRIX, Baumé or density at a reference temperature. Automation Products Inc./Dynatrol® software uses the same reference tables that are used by sugar growers. The CL-10HY and Series 2000 combination has been used in processing corn syrup as well as other syrup applications such as soft drink bottling and mixing. For many years the Dynatrol® Density System has been used for fructose applications within the Food Industry.
Evaporators/Concentrators: Vegetable Juices
The Dynatrol® CL-10HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Digital Density Converter are used to measure density or percent concentration of dissolved or suspended solids for condensed juices, vegetable juices and broths in the beverage or food industries. Concentration of vegetable juices can be measured by the Dynatrol® Density System and the results can be used to control the evaporation process.

Dynatrol® Level Switches are often used for level detection in storage bins or hoppers in the Plastics Industry. Dynatrol® Viscosity Measurement Systems accurately measures various media at process conditions.
The Dynatrol® DJ series of Level Detectors are used to measure high, intermediate, or low level detection of plastic pellets. Bulk solids level measurement is easily obtained in storage bins or hoppers for powders, granules, regrind material, etc.
Viscosity Measurement
The Dynatrol® Viscosity System includes the Series CL10-DV Viscosity Probe and Viscosity Digital Converter Series 3000 which accurately measure viscosity in vessels, reactors or process piping. Excellent applications for the Plastics Industry include:

Mining
The CL-10DJ series of level switches are used for measurement of high, intermediate, or low level detection of bulk solids in mining applications such as coal dust collection and transportation.
The Dynatrol® CL-10DJ series level switches complete with EC-501A control unit, are used for measurement of high, intermediate, or low level detection of bulk solids in mining applications such as coal dust collection and transportation.
CL-10DJ level probes withstand buildup and are suited for harsh mining environments. Constructed in stainless steel, probes are also available in corrosion and abrasion resistant steels to match your difficult applications.
The EC-501A control unit contains circuitry that performs frequency analysis, voltage analysis and makes decisions regarding the actual level switch point. This added technology reduces false tripping and makes our level measurement more dependable.

Nitric Acid
The Dynatrol® CL10-HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Density Digital Converter can measure the temperature and density of a nitric acid process stream.
How it works: The Series 2000 Digital Density Converter processes basic information from the Density Cell to calculate density at a reference temperature. The process value can be used to calculate the specific gravity, Baumé and percent concentration. This information is made available to the operator or process engineer.
The standard Series 2000 has an analog output corresponding to either of these process variables. Optionally, it can be programmed to have two analog outputs that can be calibrated for any two process variables (Density, Temperature, Baumé, Specific Gravity, Percent Concentration).

Power Plant
Dynatrol® instruments provide Bulk Solids Level Measurement of fly ash applications, Density Measurement of water treatment chemicals, various liquors and lime slurries and Viscosity Measurement of fuel oil and waste oil.
Bulk Solids Level Detection
Dynatrol® CL-10DJ series level switches are used for fly ash applications in power generation plants and for fly ash collection. These level indicators are also used in applications where fly ash is used as a filler. Our CL-10DJ level probes are made from high strength stainless steel. For more abrasive or corrosive service, our level switches can be made from other materials. These level switch probes are well suited for the high temperature and harsh environments that are always a part of fly ash applications.
Density Measurement
The Dynatrol® CL-10HY Density Cell and Series 2000 Digital Density Converter can be used to measure density, specific gravity or percent solids of water treatment chemicals such as caustic soda or sulphuric acid. Our equipment is also used to measure black liquor, green liquor and lime slurries, etc. at process conditions.
Our application software is written to use temperature and density information that comes from the CL-10HY cell to calculate various units at process conditions
Viscosity Applications
The Dynatrol® CL10-DV series Viscosity Meter and Series 3000 Viscosity Digital Converter are used to measure the viscosity of fuel oil in fuel oil to burner applications. Thus, helping to increase combustion efficiency and decrease particulate emissions. Dynatrol® Viscosity Systems are also used in waste oil incineration and waste oil pumping applications.
