Pipeline

Dynatrol® Density Systems are used worldwide in pipeline applications for measurement and control of density, specific gravity, API gravity or percent concentration. Typical applications are custody transfer or interface measurement and may include crude oil, refined products or various other chemicals.

Dynatrol® Density Cells are used to measure the liquid being transported in the pipeline. The Cell’s operation is extremely accurate and dependable, requiring no pressure compensation.

Working with the Density Cell, the Dynatrol® Digital Density Converter translates the product density and temperature readings into the customers’ required units of measurement. For example, if a United States pipeline requires the American Petroleum Institute (API) scale or a Canadian Pipeline requires output in kilogram per cubic meter (kg/m 3), Dynatrol® electronics are programmed for each application’s specific measurement needs.

The Dynatrol® Systems are user-friendly. Converters come pre-programmed for simple calibration. Many Dynatrol® Density Cells have sustained accuracy in the field without need of service for over 20 years!

Interface Level

Typical applications include WATER/CARBON, WATER/SAND, LIQUID/CATALYST INTERFACES and those that occur in steeping processes.

The Dynatrol® CL-10DJI Interface Level Detector has the unique ability to detect:

  • a liquid and settled bed of solids
  • a liquid and floating bed of solids
  • the liquid phases of products having significantly different viscosities

Petroleum and Petrochemical

Dynatrol® Density Systems and Viscosity Systems can be used to measure a variety of substances regularly seen in the petroleum and petrochemical industries.

The Dynatrol® Density Systems and Viscosity Systems have been used successfully for many years to measure, test and control numerous chemical applications. Each process instrument is of rugged construction and available in various corrosion resistant materials.

Viscosity Measurement

Dynatrol® CL-10DV Viscosity Detector with Series 3000 Viscosity Digital Converter utilizes a unique vibratory principle to provide continuous measurement at on-line process conditions. This eliminates the need for sampling and provides exceptional accuracy. Density Measurement

Pharmaceutical

Dynatrol® instruments are used for a variety of applications in the Pharmaceutical industry including:

  • point Level Detection of capsules or powdered coatings of tablets

  • evaluating the Density of hydrogen peroxide, oil mixtures, and other liquids or slurries.

Bulk Solids Level Detection

The Dynatrol® CL10-DJ series of level switches are used for level detection of dry ingredients in bins, hoppers or feeders. Typical applications for both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical processes include:
