Bulk Solids Level Measurement

The Dynatrol® CL10-DJ Level Detector complete with EC-501A control unit is used for granules and pellets. The Dynatrol® CL10-GJ Level Detector complete with EC-501A(G) control unit for bulk solids is constructed to handle sensitive or problem applications that have a tendency that pack or bridge.

Both Dynatrol® instruments are used for high-, intermediate-, or low-level detection of bulk solids in bins, hoppers or silos.

Within the packaging industry typical applications may include:

HDPE Pellets (high density polyethylene)
LDPE Pellets (low density polyethylene)
Polypropylene
PVC Granules, Pellets, Flakes
Styrene Acrylonitrile Pellets

Dynatrol® Level Detectors require no adjustments, have no moving parts and are virtually wear-free. Built in the USA and constructed for long operating life, many have been in service for 25 and 30 years.

Viscosity Measurement

The Dynatrol® CL10-DV series Viscosity Meters and Series 3000 Viscosity Digital Converter are used to automatically monitor ink viscosity, which is very important for print and color quality on packaging materials. Dynatrol® on-line viscometers accurately control viscosity thus improving printing processes for plastic packaging (i.e. bread bags) and pharmaceutical packaging - using solvent and water-borne inks and coatings. The corrugated packaging industry applications may include flexo, gravure ink, adhesives for combining starch (borax/boric acid, caustic soda, corn starch).

The Dynatrol® Viscosity System is available as an in-line model or a stand-alone package. Both Dynatrol® viscosity systems are designed for use with the Series 3000 Digital Converter. Using microcontroller technology the converter accepts information from a Dynatrol® viscosity probe and accurately calculates the viscosity of the liquid under test.
